Round 2 of The Zoo’s Anti-Social series is centred around embracing change and adapting to new thought process while focusing on and supporting local and grassroots artists.

We are stoked to announce Tijuana cartel supported by Lileth.

‘Minimal Stuffing’ is Tijuana Cartel's first original release in two years, and the first single from upcoming new album ‘Acid Pony’, due for release in November 2020. The new single shows a new evolution in sound, “We started out with the intention of writing a very simple and minimal track. That didn’t last long, we ended up with a bit of a long epic journey of the song with a few different sections” says Carey O’Sullivan one of the bands writing team.

“I think we’ve got to a point where we both had decent studios with all the toys we need to make what’s in our heads,“ says Paul George the other half of the bands writing team.

It has all the hallmarks of the Tijuana Cartel sound, but the trippier synthesised elements add a new and original flavour to their stock. ‘Minimal Stuffing’ is definitely a track worth losing yourself to with headphones.

As the cornerstone of Australia’s ‘east meets west’ electronic scene, Tijuana Cartel have a knack for blending layers of rich, intricate atmospheric soundscapes with laid back rhythms to form an electronic beats tapestry that will cut through to your very soul. Simply put, there isn’t another band doing what they do!
