Aerials are a truly iconic part of Swing Dancing—swing legend Frankie Manning’s eyes would light up when talking about air steps.
In this beginners aerial workshop we’ll teach you the basics of flying. Once you have mastered this workshop, the sky’s the limit! Get ready for a short but intensive crash course on swing aerials! Come and work hard, get sweaty, enjoy the adrenaline and finish the day with a great sense of achievement.
Schedule and Content:
1:15am - Check In/Warm Up
11:30am–2:00pm: You’ll learn a few amazing aerial moves, and dance in and out of them in a fun jam session type environment. You’ll also get tips on good aerials technique and how to spot and practice safely. There will be short rest/drink breaks throughout.
Attendance is by online registration only. Go to our website for more details. Registrations close 5pm Saturday 4 January. Attendees must register online prior to the closing date, there will be no door sales for this workshop.
