So sorry to say that this event has been cancelled as the artist (from Paris) has cancelled her tour.

Following a two year sell out season in Paris of her tribute to the “Little Sparrow” (Edith Piaf), French chanteuse Caroline Nin returns to the Australia with stories from backstage at the most iconic cabaret venue in the world: the Paris Lido.

Famed for its sophisticated nightlife and entertainment, the Paris Lido on the Champs Elysées has hosted performers such as Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf, Shirley MacLaine, Liza Minnelli and Noel Coward to name just a few.

For five years Caroline Nin was the songstress headlining at the Paris Lido as part of the glamourous house production “Bonheur”. Caroline introduced audiences from around the world to the longings, struggles and heartaches of her character Lola Lola. In this exceptional multilingual revue, Nin revelled in the role of both mistress and muse.

Caroline and her trio, led by Musical Director John Thorn, will transport you to the heart of Paris with an exciting repertoire that celebrates the cosmopolitan and multicultural nature of the city.

Featuring songs from Gainsbourg, Kander & Ebb, Piazzolla, Grace Jones, Brel, Michel Legrand and Kurt Weill, Nin’s trademark smoky-jazz-inflected voice will seduce you over and over again.

“Those fabulous years spent at the Lido, performing night after night have been a very important part of my life as a chanteuse and a performer. I wrote this show to express the passion that the world’s most famous Cabaret venue has brought to me, it is an honour and pleasure to perform and tell stories of the underworld of the Paris Lido to Australian audiences.” - Caroline Nin.

Presented by Gold Coast Jazz and Blues Club.
