The Chinese new year celebration 2020, is organized by the Toowoomba Chinese New Year Group Inc. with the support of Toowoomba Regional Council, local businesses and volunteers. It is a free annual community event running for several years by dedicated volunteers and local businesses.
The purpose of this event is due to the fact that Toowoomba, being such a diverse cultural community is ready to welcome an iconic event like Chinese New Year. It is celebrated all over the world.

This is a great way to learn about other cultures in a fun, family orientated way, sampling the traditional foods, listening to stories evolved over centuries about this event, and witnessing the famous lion dance. it has been running in Toowoomba for the last 10 years, growing with popular demand each time.
