Christmas in the City Festival and Carols Concert

Although Christmas in the City might look a little different this year, it will still be filled with festive cheer to celebrate the start of the festive period! The event will be held as a daytime event and in several locations throughout the CBD.

Head into the City where you can watch a Christmas movie, or decorate your very own paper umbrella. If that's not your scene, then sign up for a game of laser tag or one of the workshops.

If you're looking for a bite to eat, stop by one of the local food vendors or visit one of our many cafes and restaurants located throughout the CBD. Locally owned market stalls will be displaying and selling their wares at Market Square in Marlston Hill (find them between mash Brewery and Corners on the Bay).

From 4 pm, make your way down to the Graham Bricknell Music Shell for The Apprentice and Traineeship Company carols Concert with local performers hitting the stage with a mix of classic and modern Christmas songs and carols.

This year, the Street Parade will be held the week before on Sunday 6 December at 5:30pm. We encourage everyone who wishes to watch the floats as they drive by to spread out along the 1.5-kilometre route, as you will see the exact same floats from wherever you choose to stand or sit.
