Get fit and have fun as we warm up for Ventana Fiesta 2021 with online Latin Rumba classes! Suitable for all fitness levels.

Join us online via Zoom for our weekly Latin Rumba class - a 45 minute choreographed class with micro intervals between songs for everybody who enjoys fitness and dance. Register for one class, or show your passion for dance by registering for all four weekly classes. Warning: Latin Rumba is addictive!

In each of the weekly sessions, you will learn traditional Latin dance moves such as salsa, merengue, champeta, cumbia, bachata, and samba, with the added value of Spanish counting - uno (one), dos (two), tres (three), cuatro (four), etc. - and Spanish direction like arriba (up), abajo (down), derecha (right) izquierda (left).

Even if you are not up to learning Spanish words, you will be able to follow the class by copying Wendy and following the music. At the end of the 'Dance workouts to Latin beats' series, you will feel fitter and will know how to combine slow and fast moves following Afro-Latin Rhythms!

Register now to receive the Zoom link via email closer to the class dates. Pay what you can afford, with options from $0 to $20.

Please note: to ensure the safety of all participants, access to the zoom session will be locked 10 minutes after each class starts which will consist of warm-ups. We recommend that you get ready 5 minutes early by clearing your dance space, grabbing some water and clicking the link to join in by 6pm each week.

About the facilitator:
Wendy Nedd Yepes is a dynamic Latin American professional folklore dancer. She came to Victoria to learn English and became a fitness instructor. In Melbourne she combined both practices and created her own brand Rumba Latinas.
