Distilling for Beginners

Drinkmakers Australia have just released an exciting exciting new course, curated especially for our Tasmanian friends.

Learn how to distill at Tasmania’s only rum-dedicated distillery. During this course you’ll learn the basics of distilling, allowing you to take your drink making game to the next level.

At the completion of this course you’ll get to take home a 700ml bottle of the silver spirit (unaged rum) that is distilled on the day.

Who should attend?
This course has been curated especially for our Tasmanian friends. If you are interested in learning more about distilling, whether it be just a hobby, or looking to get into something more serious, this course lays the foundation for distilling.
Following this course, students can enrol in our future workshops to gain more in-depth knowledge about a specific topic. For example, making particular type of spirit (e.g gin, rum), or certain aspects of the process (e.g fermentation, rum spicing).

What's included?
The day's education, materials, tasting, certificate and catering are included in the price. It is an amazing intimate learning experience that gives you an insight and access to a working distillery. For those thinking of getting into the industry, our goal is that the course helps make this possible.
