ECU Joondalup Open Day

Visitors can discover ECU’s new science SuperLabs, cruise around campus in a hop-on-hop-off party bus and explore the wide range of courses on offer with help from ECU’s friendly staff.

Activities include:

- Party Bus: cruise around campus in our hop-on, hop-off party bus that’ll be pumping out the latest tunes.
- Mini Golf: putt your way around our 9-hole mini golf course and see how many hole-in-ones you can hit.
- Food trucks/DJ: we’ve invited some of Perth’s best food trucks to help keep your energy levels up. And there’ll be DJs playing your favourite tunes while you eat.
- Timezone/Virtual Reality experience: play some of your arcade favourites or challenge your focus in a round of Beat Saber. Will you walk away with the highest score?
- Wipeout Zone: we’re all about maintaining a healthy balance at ECU, put yours to the test in our Wipeout Zone. How long can you last on the platform?
- Pick the suspect: could you identify an offender? Test your powers of observation and learn more about criminology.
- Science SuperLabs: tour ECU’s new, hi-tech SuperLabs designed to inspire WA’s next generation of biomedical and medical scientists.
- Moot court: see what it’s really like to be a lawyer at our state-of-the-art court room.
- Robotics and automation: check out an amazing range of industrial and ECU-built robots.
- Motorsports workshop: get a close-up look at ECU’s Formula SAE race cars, designed and built by ECU students.
- ECU Tax Clinic: visit ECU’s new Tax Clinic facility and book your free appointment.
- The Pregnancy Journey: experience what it’s like to be pregnant using an empathy belly plus birthing and newborn simulators.
- Hand hygiene with the Glitter Bug: how clean are your hands? Check them out with the special UV Glitter Bug!
- Coding challenge: tour our ultra-modern computing and security facilities and take part in fun coding and cyber challenges.
- Investigate STEM-based play: Explore practical ways to engage children in design thinking and procedural skills through coding and robotics.
- Rocket mice: What goes up must come down! Make your very own rocket mouse and launcher and helicopter. See how high your mouse can fly!
