Every Friday at Tempo Rubato there is free, quality classical music from 7:30pm to 9pm. The bar is open from 5:30pm with happy hour till 6:30. Doors at 7:15. No reservations required. Light bar snacks and Sicilian spuntini available.
All Tempo Rubato's profits go to the Piano Project, a charity that provides free piano lessons for children who have recently immigrated to Australia. For $3/month you can become a Tempo Rubato member to support Piano Project, receive a monthly mail-out of the concert schedule and claim a 10% discount at the bar.
Tempo Rubato's performance space is home to a rare Australian-made Stuart & Sons piano. The venue is open for ticketed performances other nights of the week—see schedule on the Tempo Rubato website.
