HIRE20

The Hire and Rental Industry Association (HRIA) is pleased to announce that ‘HIRE20’, the annual national convention, will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on May 27-28 and is open to all within the global hire and rental industry. This includes hire and rental companies of all sizes covering general and construction equipment as well as events and party hire, and the end users of hired equipment including construction companies, contractors and tradespeople.

HIRE20 includes a free two-day open to the public exhibition featuring over 4,500m2 of the latest construction equipment and technology displays that runs from 10:30am on Wednesday May 27 until 5pm, and again from 10:30am on Thursday May 28 until 4pm.

The delegates who attend the full two-day HIRE20 convention beginning at 9am on Wednesday May 27 will also hear presentations from industry leaders and listen to keynote speakers including 2019 Australian of the Year Dr Richard Harris, Glenn McGrath, Dr Gemma Munro, Jordana Borensztajn and Warren Randall.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to attend networking events with local and interstate colleagues, before the Convention wraps up with the Hire Industry Excellence Awards and Gala Dinner on the evening of Thursday May 28.

Registration for the two-day convention will be open from early December at HIRE20 website.

Celebrating 42 years in the Australian Wine Industry and representing the Randall Wine Group that includes the iconic Seppeltsfield Wines—the largest private, premium vineyard group in Australia—Warren Randall will deliver a keynote presentation on leadership and said "I look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide and presenting at HIRE20. My aim is to challenge you to open your minds and believe in yourself, your strategy and your people, and have No Fear – "Who Dares Wins"! We will discuss why you should continually review and question how you conduct your business, and search for clarity on what needs to change to stay on top both personally and in business."

With the annual convention celebrating its 50th year in 2018, HIRE20 offers an ongoing opportunity for the industry to learn about new products, innovation, safety, business culture and sustainability. The free public Exhibition offers an insight into new products and will appeal to individuals and businesses alike following an unprecedented growth off the back of heavy civil infrastructure spending.

One of the unique features of the HRIA and HIRE20 are the specially curated programs for Young Professionals and Women in Hire, established to encourage careers in the hire and rental industry. The HIRE20 program will help to further establish these growth areas with workshops and networking events on each day.
