Children are born with potential. Their natural qualities develop into positive or negative traits depending on how they are educated in their early years. Character develops as children learn to make responsible, moral choices with self-worth being a natural outcome.

Being a parent is the most important and complex role undertaken. Parents are the child's first and most important educators, yet they receive little or no training in what to do or how to do it. Children don't come with instruction manuals and many children have challenges with friendships, communicating, expressing emotions and self-worth.

The purpose of the program is to develop a culture or character where respect, self-discipline, tolerance and joy for learning are among the qualities and virtues children master.

Some of the topics we will explore and discuss include:
- using the virtues language to acknowledge as well as correct;
- how to recognise the opportunity of teachable moments in the way we speak and the words we use;
- setting clear boundaries;
- how to assist our children to manage emotions and to express them appropriately;
- supporting children in making moral decisions.

This one day program is for parents, teachers and anyone else with responsibility for children.

Concessional rates available.
