How to Host a TouchAware Party (Online Version)

A TouchAware party is kind of like a Tupperware party but without the financial incentives or the plastic. It’s a cool online get together of friends and loved ones. No one needs any previous experience, just a sense of fun and an open mind.

The intention for touch in a TouchAware party is social rather than sexual but could easily be adjusted to a more sensual intention if desired.

In this online workshop we will teach you how to host a TouchAware Party. We will show you how to create an easy and flowing structure, add in great communication and consent and give you some fun cool practices to do around touch.

You do not need any previous experience in facilitation, or any professional experience around touch. This workshop is for anyone who is interested in bringing touch and fun into their family or community.

We will be showing you how to facilitate TouchAware parties via Zoom, what zoom features you could utilise and how to keep your party social, somatic and engaging.

For our time together we kindly ask that you connect via your computer with a fast internet connection (use an ethernet cable if possible). Please do not use your phone, it will not have all the necessary features to participate in all the activities.

It will also be helpful if you have some space to move around you and not too many distractions, like other electronics or people coming and going. Of course we understand if your current situation does not allow that and we will be happy to support your learning regardless.

NUDITY: No nudity in this training workshop. In the TouchAware parties that you host in the future, you may explore nudity if you wish.
SEXUAL CONTENT: Some discussion about sex. There is no sex in this training workshop. In the TouchAware parties that you host in the future, you may make them sexually focussed if you wish.
COMMITMENT: You may leave at any time.
RATIO EXPERIENTIAL / THEORETICAL: 70% practice / 30% theory.

TICKETS, LOGISTICS, AND LATE POLICY
Tickets are released in ‘rounds’, where ‘round one’ and ‘round two’ tickets are discounted to encourage you to book in early. There is no other difference between the ‘rounds’ of tickets. Tickets range in price from $40 to $65, per person.

When you buy your ticket, the confirmation email will include a link. This will take you to a Zoom registration page. If you’ve never used Zoom before, allow 20 minutes to download the software, and register.

Get online at least ten minutes early, to get comfortable with the technology. Workshops start at the advertised time, and will be locked ten minutes later. This is because late arrivals interrupt the dynamic of the group.
