Illawarra Beekeepers Open Day 2020: CANCELLED

Our annual Open day has been announced. Get all the details here plus the poster to download and print. Thanks to our hard-working committee, members, and volunteers this is set to be another big day.

Remember gates open 9am to 3pm and everyone is welcome.

The day will include inspecting a working beehive with the use of our protective bee clothing. And we haven’t forgotten the kids with small clothing available for children to wear and a special kids corner with bee-themed activities.

The day will also feature informative talks on beekeeping, the life of a worker bee and native bees, honey tastings and sales provided by club members, books on beekeeping along with wax products. We will also host a sausage sizzle with coffee, tea and cold drinks available. Raffles with prizes including a beekeeping course for beginners (value $299), honey, books and lots lots more.
