Jaibremar play the latest original compositions of Brazilian born, Australian based guitarist Jaider de Oliveira. Jaider’s compositions consist of the beautiful harmonies and uplifting melodies that his home state, Minas Gerais, in Brazil, is known for as well as drawing on the rich and vibrant rhythms to be found across the country. With a musical career spanning 50 years, Jaider has focussed this experience on the creation of music referencing both the old and the new.

Featuring Jaider’s unique guitar bass combination and vocals, Brendan Hook on saxophones and clarinet, and reuniting us after 20 years with Melbourne based maestro of Brazilian styles, Mark Grunden on drums and percussion, Jaibremar fuses afro, funk, samba, baiao, bossa, choro and jazz with a generous mix of traditional roots music. Our self-titled recording ‘Jaibremar‘ has just been released.
