Kakadu National Park is a bird lover’s paradise – home to more than a third of Australia's bird species, Kakadu is the perfect place to discover and learn all about the unique species of birds living in this magical part of the world, which is dual World Heritage listed for both its natural and cultural values.

This year, bird week is a little different. You can join us ‘virtually’ or ‘on-park’ to experience the wonders of birdlife in Kakadu with Bininj/Mungguy, leading bird experts and research scientists.

Enjoy a host of exciting activities online, including birdwatching, wetlands cruises, Aboriginal bird experiences and much more!

For those lucky enough to join us at Kakadu, come along on a birdwatching adventure to remember, and support the fantastic local businesses and tour operators here at the park.

Whether you’re a diehard twitcher or you can’t tell the difference between a magpie goose and a pigeon, a local joining us at the park or tuning in from across the globe, there is something for everything during Kakadu Bird Week from Saturday 26 September to Saturday 3 October 2020.

Guests at Bird Week are treated to specialist lectures, cultural events and some of Australia's best birdwatching.
