Live local music is back! Catch QUBE Effect 2020 People's Choice winner Katanak joined by other QUBE Effect favourite The Fins supported by The Plane Sailors.

Katanak
Fresh indie tunes with catchy pop hooks are the signature style of emerging Brisbane artist Katanak. Combining the storytelling of The 1975, the anthemic nature of Two Door Cinema club and the hooklines of the The Wombats, Katanak is building a reputation for creating indie pop songs that gets the crowd on their feet and moving to the groove. His following has continued to grow with his People’s Choice Award win at this year’s QUBE Effect 2020. "This one is just a straight up good time! Kooks, San cisco sorta vibes that'll have you moving no matter where you are" (Dave Ruby Howe - Triple J). With music “oozing the charm of a 90s boy band dipped in a delicious sugar-pop sound” (Music is my Muse), the young musician shows no sign of slowing down any time soon!

The Fins
The Fins are a charming four-piece rock and funk ensemble that are known for their unapologetic, theatrical and dynamic live shows.

Residing from the Sunshine Coast/Brisbane, The Fins have ignited onto the music scene in 2019, playing at respected venues such as The Foundry, The Northern Hotel and Solbar, with acts such as Death by Denim, Wanderers, Vaudeville Smash, The Kava Kings and First Beige just to name a few.

When experiencing The Fins, expect to feel elements from artists such as David Bowie, Queen, Arctic Monkeys and Nick Cave dripping into your mind, think of the funk-infused rock sounds of yesteryear meeting the fresh perspective of today and you will get The Fins.

The Plane Sailors
Known for their energetic set and loyal crowd following, The Plane Sailors are four friends doing what they love.

They are no strangers to the Woolly Mammoth stage after concluding their 'Capsize' tour there in January this year. With influence from the classic Australian sounds such as Jebediah, Men at Work and The Lucksmiths, they have created a set of jovial and upbeat tracks that has something for everyone. Following the lockdown period, The Plane Sailors are back with new music, new energy and new stage shenanigans to entertain the masses.
