Learn paper casting using latex/plaster moulds and cotton lintners to create low relief sculptural pieces.
In this workshop the cast process begins with beating rag papers in water to make a pulp. The pulp is then laid by hand in a mould (plaster/latex) made from an original work of art or a found object. The pulp is pressed to drain off the water.
Suitable for beginners and those with more experience. Materials provided.
Maximum 10 participants.
Students to provide: Your own sanitized wipes, wear closed in shoes, bring sketch/notebook and pencil, apron or coverall, disposable gloves. The kitchen is closed so BYO drinks and food in containers.
