QPAC

Complementing the heritage and tradition of Swan Lake, and showcasing the Paris Opera Ballet’s diversity, QPAC presents Parisienne Soirée, three celebrated works now considered synonymous with the Company after premiering at the Palais Garnier in 2016.

Blake Works
Set to music by English musician James Blake and choreographed by William Forsythe, a luminary of the dance world and an internationally sought-after director in theatre and film, Blake Works is a "light, joyous and hopeful celebration…to take a long and loving look at ballet’s past and move it into the future."

In the Night
One of the most popular, imaginative and prolific American choreographers of the 20th century, Jerome Robbins' one act ballet, In The Night features nocturnes of Frédéric Chopin and will form the second act of Parisienne Soirée.

The Seasons' Canon
Celebrated Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite's unanimously acclaimed The Seasons' Canon closes this exquisite program, featuring music by Max Richter and 54 dancers in this large-scale work.
