Pyrotechnic Violin (Morning Masterworks + Maestro)

Conductor Eduardo Strausser
Soloist Ray Chen, violin
Ray Chen grew up in Queensland and we are always delighted when he returns to his home state to share his gift for high-wire virtuosity on his original Stradivarius instrument. In these concerts he will be performing Saint-Saëns' 3rd Violin Concerto, a crowdpleasing showpiece if there ever was one. Then his partner-in-art for the evening, conductor Eduardo Strausser—described by New Revolution as ‘a real force of nature’—will lead the Orchestra into the serene and radiant world of Brahms’ Second Symphony.

Morning Program
Saint-Saëns Violin Concerto No.3 in B minor
Brahms Symphony No.2 in D

Evening Program
N. Williams Fourth Alarm
Saint-Saëns Violin Concerto No.3 in B minor
Brahms Symphony No.2 in D
