The Chidlow Tavern is super excited to announce the return of our BBQ Event ‘Spit in the Hills’. Our 3rd annual community BBQ event is once again joining forces with the Progressive Axemen’s Association OF WA. This eclectic weekend features an Internationally sanctioned KCBS master series BBQ contest, alongside a traditional National Log chop competition. There will also be an artisan market showcasing beautiful handmade and bespoke items by some of Perth’s best crafters and creators, plus a Kids Side Show Alley. This event is family-friendly and free entry for spectators.

As “Spit in the Hills” turns 3, we are turning up the heat with more teams, more KCBS representatives, & more vendors—which must equal more fun—right? Oh! and did we mention, for the second year, this event will include a good old-fashioned Log Chop the “Chidlow Log Chop”. Spectators will be in awe of the strength and skill of the state’s best axemen. But the fun doesn’t stop there. While you grab yourself something to eat head over to the Markets and Kids entertainment, enjoy the buskers and meet the BBQ teams. On Sunday enjoy an exciting woodchopping exhibition, where some of the state’s finest Axeman show off in an epic display.

If you are interested in taking part in this event as by entering a BBQ team, becoming a KCBS Judge, Vending or Sponsoring this event please email katie@chidlowtavern.com.au.
