Come on down to "The Stag", with two pretty average looking, but very hip Newy bands for a night of rock, pop and crooning at Newcastle's premier original music venue.

“Them Wild Oats” are an uncomplicated, progressive, 4-piece rock band who indulge in solid rhythms, crunching guitars and melodious, memorable hooks.

A driving, melodic, three piece progressive rock band hailing from Newcastle. Their songs and musicianship reflect many years of playing together and the influences they embraced. The bipolar cousin of slacker rock meets pop/punk.

The Donkey Browns are the real deal. Their combined heritage in the Newcastle original music scene is unparalleled. The four members have come together to create an Indy Rock powerhouse that is chock full of hooks, passion and song writing class.

They pride themselves on the quality of their live performances. They don’t just do gigs, they put on shows. Their music traces its roots back to the early days of alternative rock—before ‘Indy’ even existed as a term. Imagine Nirvana taking The Pixies out on a date to see the Bad Seeds.

The Donkey Browns do not disappoint.

Check 'em out.
