Join ANAM guest artist, Umberto Clerici, as he explores the development of the Symphony: it didn’t exist (except for church music and opera overtures) until 1750 and then, thanks to Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, it became (in just 30 years) the most important musical form of its time. It was the result of the Enlightenment and the expression of the new Bourgeoisie, in a time of profound social changes.
