Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) Recitals are an opportunity for musicians to make their own personal musical statement, through performance, repertoire and presentation. This year, some of West Australia-based musicians are performing in their home state for ANAM’s Perth audience.
From his first rehearsal at the Australian Youth Orchestra’s National Music Camp in 2016, Andrew was assured that music would always be a vital part of his life. In 2017, Andrew moved from Perth to Adelaide to pursue a Bachelor of Music – Classical Performance at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. Under the tutelage of Keith Crellin OAM, Andrew has been a recipient of the Varley Scholarship two years in a row, and has held the position of Principal Viola for both the Elder Conservatorium Chamber and Symphony Orchestras for several years. He has participated in many Australian Youth Orchestra programs and has enjoyed exploring a variety of musical genres, including orchestras, chamber music, musicals and opera. Andrew is currently in his first year at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM), training with Caroline Henbest. Read more about Andrew here https://anam.com.au/musicians/andrew-crothers
