In line with our commitment to increasing inclusivity and empowering creative practitioners and their communities, the Blindside 2021 Artist Mentorship Initiative is a structured three-month internship program that engages an early-career artist, curator or arts administrator with a disability. This online exhibition is the cumulation of work undertaken by curator/artist Michael Camakaris, the inaugural Artist Mentee of 2021.

The paid internship is supported by the City of Melbourne, with the Blindside mentorship giving the mentee an understanding of how a small arts organisation operates and the opportunity to work on a self-devised project with support from Blindside personnel.
