Celebrate the Birthday of His Holiness Dalai Lama: CANCELLED

Join us for a lovely day of auspicious prayers and celebrations in the Nalanda Garden and the gompa.

8.00am - We’d love you to come nice and early to help us display our magnificent Chenrezig Thangka and prepare a throne for His Holiness with offerings in front of the thangka.

9.00 am - Everyone meet in the gompa to join a traditional procession carrying the portrait of His Holiness to the throne.

We’ll recite prayers and wish His Holiness Happy Birthday with singing, cake and chai. There will be the opportunity tooffer khatag to the portrait of His Holiness displayed in front of the Chenrezig Thangka and Geshela will talk about the amazing qualities of his holiness Dalai Lama.

12.00 pm - Lunch will be offered free of charge in the Big Love Cafe - please book 24 hours ahead through info@chenrezig.com.au)

2.00 - 3.00 pm - Ven Ailsa Cameron will lead the beautiful practice Inseparability of the Guru and Avalokiteshvara, written by His Holiness himself when he was 19 years old.

3.30 – 5.00 pm - Guru Puja Tsog

Donations are very welcome, towards the many offerings and floral decorations, the cakes and chai, the freely offered lunch and the huge and beautiful tsog!
