‘From Coast to Country’
This exhibition by Alison Nunn & Jane Millar reflects the work of two diverse creative spirits unified by their common commitment to the natural environment. This partnership was forged whilst Alison and Jane were at university studying architecture.
Alison’s washed landscapes are reflections and memories from journeys, some captured plein air, others interpreted from photographs taken during outback travels and wanderings throughout the Victorian and NSW high country, and from our local regional valleys and hills.
Jane’s snapshots, interpretive coastal images, textured surfaces and sculptural forms, are influenced by the Surf Coast and seaside townships southwest of Melbourne. A sense of humour and a colourful and diverse interpretation of the coast resonates throughout.
Alison and Jane have come together to express the diversity of life around us in their collective ‘From Coast to Country’.
