Dublin born singer-songwriter; Gallie returns to Melbourne...

The Occoquan River-“One of the outstanding releases this year....’The Occoquan River’ is brilliant.” Paul Gough, The Inside Sleeve, ABC.

Gallie’s original songs contribute his own colour, to a significantly rich canvas that echoes the influences of Van Morrison and Neil Young. The character and emotion bestowed upon a generation of songwriters, at the hands of a 1970's Dublin childhood, is transcribed into song by this Irish born singer/songwriter/guitarist, who now calls Australia his home.

His 20-year musical career has also seen him open for an impressive line-up of international acts. These include Damien Rice, Lisa Hannigan, KT Tunstall, Glen Tilbrook, Squeeze, Newton Faulkner, Glen Hansard and The Frames. He has shared the stage with luminaries such as Santana, Chris Isaak and Jimmy Cliff and some of Australia’s greats Liz Stringer, Suzannah Espie, Chris Wilson and Shane Howard.

Gallie and his band (Jen Anderson Fiddle, Tristan Courtney Double bass, Colin Berwick piano), return to Melbourne to play The Sound Garden Music Club. This will be Gallie's last gig for a while, as he returns to the studio to record a new album which is pencilled for release, late 2021.

Bistro open from 5.30 pm.
Showroom Doors open from 7.30 pm.
Gallie from 8.30 pm.
