Ten short years ago, the land behind Warrawong High School was a wasteland of weeds. Today, it is one of the largest urban permaculture farms in the world and an internationally-awarded model for sustainable development.
Your 90-minute experience will include an interactive and informative tour around our 11-acre farm, as well as time to explore our children’s and demonstration gardens. We’ll visit our thriving market gardens, food forests and native rainforest, and seek out out our free-range pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, chicken and/or ducks to offer them a feed! We’ll also share the incredible story of the Green Connect farm and give you some insights into how we work with nature to grow and distribute food in a truly sustainable way.
This tour is designed for anyone wanting to experience the abundance and beauty of the Green Connect Farm and find out a bit more about our methods and history. There will be lots of opportunities to get hands on, engage your senses, and ask questions as we explore our magical space.
