Salty air. Smooth sounds.

The inaugural Island Jazz Festival brings an exciting mix of jazz and jazz fusion acts to Rottnest Island with staged and roving performances throughout the weekend of 23 to 25 July.

Whether swing is your thing, soul is your passion or you’re keen to lose yourself in the blues, the Festival features ticketed and free events at a range of great venues, from the picturesque, bayside setting of the Thomson lawn to the old-school dance hall atmosphere of the Old Picture Hall.

Jazz fans and those new to the genre can take their pick from a varied line-up of sensational world-class, award-winning acts, as well as some of Perth’s finest young emerging talent, with easy listening, mesmerising, classic and playful shows on offer.

The majority of the weekend performances are free and registrations are not required; however, venue capacities will apply and patrons will be asked to sign in via the SafeWA app.

Tickets must be purchased for the Festival’s special feature events - Ladies Swing the Blues, Prohibition Jazz at the Old Picture Hall, and Dirty Jazz with Jessie Gordon.
