Award-winning comedian Lauren Bok rocks out with a hilarious burlesquey, stand-uppy, golden crispy comedy show about how a sausage roll changed the course of her life one buttery, flakey bite at a time!

It all started at the tender age of ten when she ate a sausage roll that was not hers. Instead of relishing in her savoury victory, the shame of getting in trouble addicted her to the giddy highs and the crushing lows of perfectionism and trying to reach 'The Top'!

So how does an over-achieving perfectionist cope with a pandemic?

With tassel twirling to AC/DC, harrowing hospo stories, an inflatable dildo, long-form mimes and a mission to get as much dopamine as possible from doing the gardening.

About Lauren Bok:
Lauren Bok is an award-winning comedian from Melbourne with over eight years experience in performance, radio and TV. She does mimes, burlesque, stand up and silly voices.

She was nominated for a Golden Gibbo in 2019 for her show Rock Out With Your Bok Out and her previous show Between a Bok and a Hard Place was listed as 'Top 4 shows to see to feel better about the world' in The Guardian. Her debut show Is That A Burrito In Your Pocket Or Are You Just Happy You Have A Burrito toured to Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Perth FRINGEWORLD and Edinburgh Fringe, and won a Best Emerging Artist Weekly Award at Adelaide Fringe in 2016.

Throughout her career she's enjoyed multiple sold-out shows, rave reviews, best-newcomer lists (Pedestrian.tv and Broadsheet) as well as writing for SBS Comedy and The Age. She also runs stand-up comedy workshops for women and non-binary people, is a children’s performer with her character The World’s Worst Babysitter and co-hosts 'Elementary Springfield', a podcast exploring the Simpsons with fellow comedian Claire Sullivan.
