The next concert is a Violin Duo.
The celebrated violinist, Sue Collins and Doctorate candidate, Sarah Scheermeijer, will perform works by J.S. Bach and J-M. Leclair.
The partita for violin in D minor, BWV 1004 which includes the famous Chaconne, performed by Sue Collins is definitely something not to be missed! The Sonata No.2 for two violins, is one of six sonatas Jean-Marie Leclair composed in 1730. It is a superb model of French Baroque writing, providing the two violinists the opportunity to show their brilliance, dexterity and virtuosity.
