Keyna Wilkins is a leading musician-composer who performs her own unique compositions and improvisations inspired by jazz, nature and thoughts. She was one of three national finalists in the APRA/AMCOS Art Music Awards for Individual Excellence 2018 and has performed around the world. She will play pieces on flute, piano (some with loop pedal) from her 4 solo albums, the most recent being "So What Bach" released at Sydney Women's International Jazz Festival last year to rave reviews. For this special show she will be joined by beatboxer-violist Connor Malanos, who has recently beatboxed his way around Australia and NZ. The show will be visually accompanied by textured noir projections.

Like a hug and a peck, and a squeeze around the neck Southern Comfort is a saucy mix of jazz, blues, and reimagined pop, rock and bluegrass tunes accompanied by captivating stories about life as a daughter of Appalachia. A gifted raconteur, Dianne and her Great Southern Band have charmed audiences with this amazing show from The Hydro Majestic, Foundry 616, and Johnston Street Jazz to rave reviews and encores. Originally from Virginia, USA, vocalist Dianne Cripps earned her music degree from George Mason University, USA and studied with Australian jazz luminaries Judy Bailey and Michelle Nicolle. She has performed around the world from the US Capital Steps to the Sydney Opera House. Dianne’s Great Southern Band features Australia’s most exciting musicians including Montreux Jazz competition Finalist Felix Lalanne on guitar, Freeman Fellowship nominee Ed Rodrigues on drums, and award-winning double bassist Elsen Price.
