Newspaper is for the news. Socks are for your feet.
But thousands use them every day.
End period poverty. Period.

Did you know that period poverty is a global health issue affecting millions of people worldwide? Want to take action and help in a sustainable way?

Friday 28th May is Menstrual Health Day and this year you can help in the mission to end period poverty by 2030 by visiting the ‘End Period Poverty’ activation by Modibodi.

This three-day event will feature an installation depicting the shocking reality for many Aussies and the makeshift items they are forced to use during menstruation, when they don’t have access to period undies, pads or tampons.

You can learn about this issue currently facing thousands of Aussies and get a firsthand look at how items such as newspapers, torn up nappies, plastic bags and old socks are used to manage menstruation. Stories from people who have experienced period poverty will also provide a heartbreaking insight into this global health issue.

Find out how to take immediate action by donating a pair of period undies at the activation via the ‘Give a Pair’ program which provides period undies to those most in need.
