Adi Toohey is very serious about playing music that is fun. Whether she’s playing 90s breaks, raw house, rave anthems, or even r&b slow jams, she always manages to find the most energetic, infectious cuts. That is why we ask her back to Picnic time and time again; because her selections are irresistibly danceable. Over her past decade in the Sydney scene, she’s done everything from humble beginnings working with Picnic, holding down an untouchable FBi Radio’s Saturday Sunset residency, to throwing parties with Rimbombo and selling wax at The Record Store, with every task leveling her up as a DJ. Further afield, she’s played in New York, London, Berlin, LA and Vancouver and she’s been featured by Dekmantel, Resident Advisor, NTS Radio and Bicep. There is no doubt here, Adi Toohey is the real deal.
