The season might be changing but Picnic has plenty of A-grade bookings lined up to make sure March is like a bonus summer month down at Opera Bar. All-Sydney talent, all-Sydney setting, nothing but good vibes every Sunday from 3 PM until 10 PM AKA prime sunset hours.

Live sets have been a highlight of Picnic Social Sundays, and this weekend is no different. The magnificent Marco Vella of Retiree and Body Corp fame is coming down with a whole bunch of music machines to perform for us down by the water, which is an absolute treat. On the decks we’ve got the globetrotting boogie, funk and soulful sounds of Caravan, the very best in oddball disco jams from Marcus King, and blissed out ambient by Angophora’s Max Santilli.

Art for Picnic Social comes from the incomparable Sydney via Venezuelan artist Nadia Hernández. Her visual arts practice is informed specifically by the current political climate of her home country and her diasporic experience as a Venezuelan woman living abroad. Accompanying the original design for Picnic Social is a 3D treatment from one of our favourite multifaceted talents Mikaela Stafford.
