Haikus are often described as little Japanese poems on nature that use a 5-7-5 syllable format. But there is much more to them than that! Read one-line haikus, learn season words, and explore the importance of observation and surprise in this workshop.

Run by a published poet, participants of this workshop will learn how to think creatively about their surroundings and how best to present words on a page for effect (a skill particularly useful for GATE candidates). Participants will also be supplied with a haiku workshop/resource booklet to take home.
