Dan Forrest’s intensely moving Requiem for the Living, Described by its composer as, “a narrative just as much for the living, and their own struggle with pain and sorrow, as for the dead,” this is a work whose text speaks of the turmoil and sorrow that face humanity in the world today, probably now more than ever.

Requiem for the Living has met with worldwide acclaim since its premiere in 2013, and the Queensland premiere performance earned the Queensland Choir a standing ovation from a sold-out St. John’s Cathedral in 2017. It is a most impressive piece of new music written in a deeply spiritual but highly accessible style.
