The Pushkin String Ensemble was created right here in Sydney in the lead up to The Festival de La Francophonie 2021.

Led by violinist Mar’yana Sywak, The Pushkin String Ensemble has brought together a group of Sydney based musicians with the same desire and eagerness to make music again in a post Covid era.

Based in Sydney, Violinist Mar'yana Sywak has performed with The Sydney Metropolitan Orchestra, The Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, The Sydney Contemporary Orchestra, and
The Sydney Philharmonia.

In 2015 Mar’yana founded Jaga Band - a multicultural ensemble that presents famous virtuosic Eastern European melodies.

In REVISITING THE CLASSICS, The Pushkin Ensemble will present an array of French music ranging from your well known classical pieces to your timeless French songs.

This Event will also feature French Australian Soprano Émilie Lemasson adding some vocal ‘ je ne sais quoi” to an already appealing French program.

Émilie Lemasson burst on Sydney Club & Theatre circuit in 2017 while touring as a support artist to Mark Vincent and violinist Ian Cooper.

She has alo appeared in the cast of La Boheme & Turandot for Opera Australia. Émilie is no stranger to French music having performed in various French shows produced by Milko Foucault - Larche in the last few years.

Revisiting the Classics is a dinner/ show event in beautiful surroundings.

This event is presented by The Australian “French Music” Festival - Francophonie 2021.

Artistic Director: Milko Foucault - Larche
