Carly, Kurt and Belinda will discuss their experiences, the importance of representation and why works like Growing Up are so important.
Carly Findlay is a writer and appearance activist who released her first memoir Say Hello in 2019. She received an Order of Australia for her work in disability advocacy.
Kurt Fearnley is a three-time Paralympic gold medalist and two-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist. He has won over 40 marathons, written a book, hosted ABC's One Plus One and was named NSW Australian of the Year in 2019.
Belinda Downes is a Newcastle based writer, teacher, language/linguistic scientist, and coffee lover. You may have seen her on ABC’s You Can’t Ask That or a NAB commercial.
