Hear the stories behind the songs. Songs in the South provides a unique experience for both writer and listener. Co-hosted by Delsinki & Joyce Prescher, the evening will see 6 different performers come together on stage where they will perform and exchange songs and stories.

Alister Turrill

Alister Turrill blends a true form of blues with complex songwriting that’s seldom seen.
He’s shared the stage with Jeff Lang, Geoff Achison and Lloyd Spiegel on several occasions and has supported the likes of Charlie Parr (US), Tim Rogers, Ash Grunwald, Kim Churchill, Steve Smyth, Tim Freedman and Shane Howard.

Alana Wilkinson

Alana Wilkinson is a Melbourne based folk-pop-punk-poet who is much loved on the Australian scene. She combines delicate melodies with disarmingly insightful vignettes about the human condition.

Ernest Aines

Ernest Aines is a contemporary folk singer-songwriter from Melbourne. His songs range from lore type storytelling and personal discovery to wistful ramblings.

Coby Grant

Coby Grant is a folk/pop singer-songwriter whose emotion filled voice has drawn comparisons to Eva Cassidy, Joni Mitchell and Alanis Morrisette. After Gaga Publishing signed Coby and placed her original song “A Song About Me” into a Scandinavian TVC five years ago, life has been pretty busy for Coby, who toured Europe extensively for years.

Joyce Prescher

Joyce Prescher is a Dutch born folk musician who is now Melbourne based. Her carefully crafted lyrics, haunting melodies and rich velvety vocals take you back to days long gone. Joyce delivers her songs with such honesty and melancholy, you cannot help but be roped in and left mesmerised.

Delsinki

Delsinki is a Melbourne based singer songwriter. Over the years he has been involved in numerous musical projects. Most recently he toured a show called ‘Keep the circle unbroken’ to sold out venues across regional Victoria. He is much loved in the Australian scene and well respected amongst some of Australia’s finest musicians. Delsinki’s songs are deep and intimate brought with a voice that shifts between soft and delicate and a low rumbling thunder.
