Urban Comedy Slam

Despite Melbourne's thriving comedy scene and a birthplace for crops of bona fide superstars from all walks of life, we continue to observe a lack of diversity in comedic talent. Therefore, Urban Comedy Slam was created to fill this gap by showcasing some of Melbourne’s best up-and-coming comedic talent from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

We will feature four different comedians dishing out their best material, regaling us with their opinions, ideas, stories and more importantly jokes! Coming of a sold-out MICF season, our MC Ghanaian-Australian comedian Akwasi Osei-Tutu will be keeping the crowd pumped up between jokes.

Duration: 60 minutes including 5 minutes intermission. Door opens 30 minutes before the show.
