Village Entertainment is proud to announce that Australia's most connected cinema will open its doors to movie-lovers on Thursday, May 13. Located in the heart of Melbourne's Eastern suburbs, Village Cinemas M-City in Clayton boasts six state-of-the-art screens equipped with laser projectors, Vpremium seating in every auditorium and first to market digital technologies.

Village Cinemas are among the first globally to open a new cinema since the pandemic, and M-City's new movie theatre promises to be the most connected cinema in Australia. The cinema will allow guests to by-pass the queue at the candy bar and order their food and beverages from the Village Cinemas app, or kiosks in the foyer. Guests will not have to line-up to collect their order either. While they relax and grab a drink at Roc's Social, staff will prepare their order, and once ready, guests will receive a text message with a barcode that can be scanned at the lockers; where their order will be waiting for them. If ordering via the Village Cinemas app, the M-City staff can even deliver your order directly to your seat in the cinema.

Movie-goers in Melbourne’s East will be the first in the country to see the highly anticipated sequel to John Krasinski’s thrilling 2017 horror film A Quiet Place. A Quiet Place
Part II will be screening exclusively at Village Cinemas M-City on Thursday 20th May, a week before the film releases internationally on Thursday 27th May. Following the exclusive screenings of A Quiet Place Part II, films such as Disney’s Cruella, Fast and Furious 9, In the Heights, Marvel Studios’ Black Widow and Space Jam: A New Legacy will christen the brand-new screens at M-City. M-City will be home to an exciting and unique film program, which includes an eclectic mix of the latest blockbusters, quality indie and anime films, new release international titles, and specially curated cult classics.
