Celebrate the season of Advent with this stunning selection of repertoire, ranging from Gregorian chant through to jazz arrangements of much-loved traditional carols.
The centrepiece of this programme is Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, performed by SATB choir and harp – a series of captivating miniatures in which Britten sets haunting melodies, alongside moments of joyous declamation. The concert also features innovative jazz arrangements of carols, originally created for a service of Jazz Carols at St Martin in the Fields, London by Will Todd.
