An Autumn Afternoon With The Eight Cellists of The Metropolitan Orchestra

The Cellists of The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) will feature in TMO’s first Chamber Concert of 2022. These exceptional cellists will dazzle with a beautiful choice of music including classic chamber masterworks through to popular classics, all re-orchestrated to accentuate the extraordinary sounds of this unique cello ensemble.

Supported by the NSW Government, the Inner West Council, and presented as part of the 2022 Seniors Festival, this fun, intimate and accessible afternoon performance highlighting the warm sounds of the cello will be hosted by TMO’s enigmatic Principal Cellist John Benz. Past concerts have included pieces by Bruch, Tavares, Barber, Piazzolla and Shostakovich amongst other masterworks. There will also be a few surprises with past concerts having showcased unique presentations from popular artists such as Abba, the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Metallica and Gotye.
