Arpan an Offering - Indian Classical Dance, Music N Dinner

Arpan is a mega event in Townsville that is dedicated to promoting the classical Indian styles of dance and music. Not just is Arpan a treat of culture and art but a treat for your taste buds with homemade classical Indian meals served before the performances.

NQHC (North Queensland Hindu Community Inc.) is a Non-Profit community organisation in Townsville. NQHC promotes Indian art and culture through its signature annual event ‘Arpan...an offering', showcasing artists from India and other parts of Australia. This fundraising event of NQHC is a forum that unites Australians from all walks to enjoy a glimpse into traditional Indian food, dance and music strung together beautifully on one garland. This program aims at reviving and sharing Indian classical music, dance, and performing arts by encouraging young talents from within Australia and by providing a stage for those who strive to keep the classical arts alive in a place too far away from their origin. It is our annual fundraising event with a history of eight successful years. The program helps raise funds for the cultural, spiritual, educational, and service activities of NQHC.
