Audiences will be invited to attend an open studio tour of the Signals Sound Laboratory afterwards. The tour includes opportunities to interact with ambient sound equipment and discuss sound design.

Music for Ports is presented by the Artists’ Foundation of WA and Signals Sound Laboratory.

Signals Sound Laboratory showcases a vast array of music synthesisers, broadcast technology, and computing and laboratory test equipment, all interconnected in unique and interesting ways. Created by Perth audiovisual artist Will Axten and French electronic music pioneer Gaëtan Schurrer aka naughtyG.

The Artists' Foundation of WA is partially-funded by the Restart to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund, and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSCI), Culture and the Arts WA.
