SIMA presents the Jazz:NOW Summer Festival featuring;

Asteroid Ekosystem + Fetherstone

‘This is one mighty sonic trip that paints colourful pictures in the mind’ - Loudmouth Magazine

The brainchild of shape-shifting pianist Alister Spence, Asteroid Ekosystem is a supergroup for the 21st century featuring pioneering guitarist Ed Kuepper - The Saints, Laughing Clowns), and legendary bassist Lloyd Swanton - The Necks).

With the spontaneity of jazz, the instrumentation and dynamism of rock, and futuristic explorations resembling psychedelic – Asteroid Ekosystem is a progressive musical statement that can’t be restricted by genres or labels.

Fetherstone, led by astonishing vocalist Briana Cowlishaw her vocal loop pedal and a beats machine to craft stunning vocal arrangements – influenced by her folk idols as well cutting-edge electro-pop artists from the UK such as Tom Misch and Lianne La Havas.
