Duke of George presents Boogie Lover Band with special guest DJ Howie Z serving up some funk soul and electric boogaloo

Due to POPULAR DEMAND, it’s a DISCO EXTRAVAGANZA once again with the fabulous BOOGIE-LOVER-BAND, Perth’s premier Disco and Dance sensation!

Having sold out their first three performances at the Duke of George, Boogie Lover Band is back once again to reignite the Disco Inferno!

With pounding four-on-the-floor drum beats, electrifying guitar rhythms (think Nile Rogers), luscious orchestral arrangements, pumping horns, iconic synthesizers and funky syncopated bass lines, this dedicated dance band will positively keep you up on your feet, all night long!

Fronted by dazzling diva Bindhu Holavanahalli, the huge 7 piece band is thrilled to have Steve Vacca on guitar, Reilly Stewart on drums, Peter Robinson on bass, Francisco Munoz on percussion, Malcolm Mah on keyboards and the incredible Rob Bresland on trumpet.

Well qualified and successful in their own musical endeavours, they come together in a mix of vivid colours and electrifying sounds to pump out authentic disco and dance hits of the 70’s, 80’s and beyond.

Much to the delight of those who requested, many new tunes have been added to the set list for this upcoming show. They include new tributes to Eurythmics, Madonna, Cher, Donna Summer, Shakatak and Irene Carra.

All tunes have been creatively and meticulously arranged to replicate the original sound and vibe of the 70’s and 80’s, honouring Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, ABBA, Chic, Gloria Gaynor, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Sister Sledge, The Three Degrees, Kool and the gang, Earth Wind & Fire, Bee Gees, ELO, MJ, Stevie Wonder, Simply Red and even Bruno Mars and many more…

It’s gonna be groovy, soulful, funky and far out pumping. You’ll hear not only familiar favourites but long lost gems as well. Don’t forget to dress up and wear them boogie shoes, for its time to dance away the winter blues!!!
