Meet your comics

Ashwin Segkar - Ashwin Segkar is a Brisbane-based comedian whose comedy delves into migrant life, peculiar animals and unpleasant facts, with a warm stage presence. He has been featured on ABC's Tonightly and he also presents on ABC Radio. Born in India, and with a childhood spent growing up in Malaysia, NZ, England and Australia, a lot of weird stuff has happened, and he mashes that into his comedy.

Ting Lim - Singaporean-born Ting Lim is a beloved favourite on the Brisbane comedy scene. Her dark wit, cutting humour and distinctive style have made her a rising star in Australian comedy. She was handpicked to represent Queensland at the RAW national comedy finals in 2011, and since opened for stars like Beth Stelling, Demetri Martin, and shared the stage with Jimeoin and many more.

Sandeep Totlani - Juggling between Indian and Western culture, Sandeep Totlani has performed comedy in three languages on some of the biggest stages across Australia and India, supporting acts like Danny Bhoy, Zakir Khan, Kanan Gill and Matt Okine. His perspective is fresh, stage persona likeable and style of comedy both intriguing and hilarious.

Jo Gowda - Jo Gowda is an Indian-born Australian stand up comic and RAW comedy finalist (2019, 2020). Jo will disarm you with her quick dry wit and cheeky sense of humour, and uses her humour to break barriers, shatter stereotypes and incite thought. She describes herself as Australia’s second best import (after cricket of course).

MJ Wong - MJ Wong is a lovable rogue - uproariously funny, sometimes downright strange, his observations and frustrations never fail to amuse. A well-seasoned performer, he has toured across the country and performed at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival. He's performed alongside the likes of Dave Hughes, Dilruk Jayasinha, Sammy J and Randy Feltface.

Michael Cho - Michael Cho is quickly making a name for himself across Brisbane comedy, performing regularly at comedy clubs all over town, and was a 2020 QLD RAW comedy state finalist. His unique worldview and talent without a doubt makes him a comic you’ll want to look out for.
