On Sunday the 11th of September, the Robert Connor Dawes (RCD) Foundation will hold its tenth annual Connor’s Run along Melbourne’s foreshore. There are two different lengths of the run; 18.8km or a 9.6km distance. The 18.8km run commences at 8am in Hampton at the Ferdinando gardens, on the corner of Beach road and Small street. The 9.6km distance run commences at 9:30am at the Catani Gardens in St Kilda.
Connor’s Run has become the largest fundraising event in Australia. The annual run is more than a fun run, it is the celebration and commemoration of Robert Connor Dawes, who tragically lost his life to brain cancer.
Connor’s Run is the main fundraising event for the RCD Foundation, which supports brain projects in the areas of research, care and development – to fund the science to end brain cancer and support patients in the meantime.
